This is a region of Austria which is generally less well known to many overseas visitors, however, it is now very easily accessible by Ryanair who offer cheap daily flights from Stansted UK to Graz as well as flights from Graz to many European destinations. • It is a major wine growing area
• It is a major area of thermal baths and springs
• It is close to the Hungarian and Slovenian borders
• Graz is a beautiful city and was European City of Culture recently.
• There is skiing over the border in Maribor (Slovenia) as well as several ski resorts in the mountains of the Steiermark.
• There are excellent motorway links to Graz, Vienna, Bratislava and Slovenia and also to Klagenfurt and the rest of Austria
• There are wonderful cycle tracks and walking trails
• The climate is milder, and it is superb holiday country

Although it is Austria, it has a very 
French / Italian 'feel' to it in many ways.
