Getting to Styria (Steiermark)
Getting to Styria
Styria is easy to access
By CAR:
The region is easy to access from Central Europe with good motorway access to Munich, Salzburg, Ljubljana (Slovenia).
From the UK it is about 13 hours drive from the Channel ports.
If you are travelling from the north of England there are excellent ferry crossings from Hull and Newcastle to Holland. These put you close to the German autobahns for a "swift" drive to Austria
Interactive map and driving instructions.
For your convenience we have added an interactive map and driving instructions application between major UK cities and Styria. Feel free to use it anytime.
Have a pleasant trip.
By TRAIN:
The region has good train links through either Paris or Brussles to Graz and from there to the whole of Europe.
Find a train: ÖBB - The Federal Austrian Railways.
By AIR:
Not quite going by air!
The international airport of Styria is in Graz. Other close airports are Ljubljana (Slovenia), Vienna, Salzburg, Klagenfurt and Innsbruck (Austria).
There are no direct flights (at present) from the UK to Graz. The low cost European airlines have regular flights to Linz and Ljubljana. Take a look at their websites for details.
